Ché Williams is a dynamic Jamaican- American documentary and nonfiction filmmaker and producer, living and working in the illustrious Newark, New Jersey.

He has worked on documentaries, docuseries, and non-scripted shows for major networks and streamers like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max in various functions, including field production, research, and post-production support. He worked on the Emmy-nominated “Tulsa Burning”, the critically-acclaimed documentary Declarations: Black Americans and the Revolutionary War for PBS, and an upcoming show for OWN produced by Lionsgate. He also has experience as a camera operator, gaffer, grip, and DIT on commercials and branded content for brands and websites like Buzzfeed, GAP and Bespoke Post.

His personal work is informed by Black youth, barbershops, basketball courts, train stations, and other places where strangers become family. His work is raw, bright and subject focused, rooted in a commitment to learn through storytelling and centering the experiences of underdogs everywhere.

His short film “Domino Days” premiered at Blackstar Film Festival in 2024 and was heralded by many outlets as one of the best short films of the festival. He is currently developing and working on multiple non-scripted stories in addition to writing his first feature-length film. 

Ché Williams graduated with a BA in Video/ Film Production and Africana Studies from Hampshire College.
